Ylber Idrizi (born September 12, 1984 in Skopje) is an Albanian pop singer from North Macedonia, composer, songwriter, producer and director of the Folk Festival Duflla[1][2]
Life and Career
[edit]Ylber Idrizi[3] inherited music from his father, the rhapsodist Idriz Çilafi[4]. After completing primary school, he enrolled in the High School of Music and Ballet "Ilija Nikollovski Luj"[5] Skopje to continue at the Academy of Arts at the State University of Tetovo and the Ss.Cyril and Methodius University od Skopje.
He is the founder and president of the Cultural and Artistic Association Duflla since 2016 and the director of the Duflla Folk Festival organized in the municipality of Saraj, Skopje.
From a young age, he began to engage in cultural activities by becoming part of Cultural and Artistic Societies, where he displayed his talent by participating in many folklore festivals around the world.
After graduating from high school, he began performing at musical evenings, presenting a beautiful folk repertoire, from where he continued to perform at various family parties.
His first album was released in 2011 by Ximi production Ferizaj and Jehona production Tetovo, worked in Xheni's studio in Skopje with lyrics by Hazbi Ameti, Ejup Shabani and Ylber Idrizi, while the music and orchestration were by Argjend Meçe Xheni.
The long-awaited second album was released in July 2012 by the same production company with the same collaborators.
In addition to albums, Ylber Idrizi regularly releases music videos[6] and participates in the filming for various productions and television stations in North Macedonia, Kosovo, and Albania.
In 2013 he created his own company ALBENI production, from where he began to produce and publish albums for himself and other artists. Also this year, he participated in the festival of modern and Albanian folk music in Pristina, "Çelësi Muzikor" seventh edition, where he was awarded two prizes, while at the Etno Fest festival he was declared the best instrumentalist by performing melodies with çifteli.
The fourth album in a row titled "Happy Birthday" was released by ALBENI production in the summer of 2015.
